Looking for an indepth article into SLI and how it works.

Ok, well i have to do a report comparing two things, so im going to compare SLI to non-SLI and tell why it was a smart move, and why it is the better question. also since i have to "debunk a myth" i will say how it is cheaper to use SLI.

but i want an indepth review of the architecture behind it, and maybe a review of the driver side since it seems to be hugely driver dependent.

does anyone have any? i am currently browsing the anandtech side, and will prolly head over to H and see if they have any. also, anand, or anyone else who might know, maybe you could send me an email or something nourdmrolnmtREMOVE1@gmail.com it would be appreciated.

Thanks

MIKE

I believe there is a good article in CPU Magazine about it, but I'm not sure. I just glossed over it in the bookstore.

I would look for something else to compare, there isn't currently any real price or performance benefit.

You can gain a tremendous amount of performance (SLI 6800U), but at a steep price. Right now there's no point in going SLI unless you're going for the extreme high end, SLI is more of a future upgrade path than anything else. You can go buy two 6600 GT's, but you'd only get the performance of a single 6800GT or Ultra, and to upgrade from there you'd have to replace both cards.

I assume you've seen this, but I'll give it to you anyway:
