hey all,
I currently have a 2002 volvo s60 with factory radio. I have an garmin on the dash, and external ipod adapter that plugs in to the back of the radio unit, and bluetooth only through the garmin. I want to trash this setup and just get an indash solution which hopefully I can install myself. I will be using all the stock speakers for now, and doubt I will add new ones, or an amp or sub.
I've taken a look at a few gps units from alpine, kenwood, and pioneer. The top end I really want to spend is $800. The unit that I like the most the most so far is the pioneer f90bt. Does anyone personally own the unit and have some good insight into?
As far as the installation goes, I know I will need to buy a new mounting bracket for the unit, and I believe a power harness cable to connect this radio to the factory cabling. I am a complete n00b at car radio, but is there anything else offhand that I would normally need to hook this baby up?
thanks for any input
