The TV I have in my bedroom (27" Panasonic CRT) is great except it has NO component inputs. It does have 1 Svideo input, however: when you have something plugged in there, it no longer accepts any signal from the other 2 sets of composite inputs. Lame, huh?!?!?
So anyways, right now it works fine because I have this setup:
cable in from wall -> DVD/VCR unit coax input
Svideo out from DVD/VCR unit -> Svideo input on TV (to carry the DVD signal)
coax cable from DVD/VCR unit -> coax input on TV (to carry the cable signal as well as the VCR signal, just in case I need to watch a VHS)
However, I plan on going to Dish soon, and so I will need to get that signal in thru an Svideo cable as well. So what I need is an AV switching unit that will accept 2 Svideo inputs, plus a coax input, and send everything out thru a single Svideo output.
Here's a bunch, but notice most of them do NOT convert composite to Svideo
And I find a bunch on ebay, but they rarely mention if they can convert or not. Can anybody suggest a good one that is cheap? Remember this is just for the bedroom, I don't need it to be ultra high end or anything.
