I bult a computer with an Addtronics 6896 case and installed a Sunon 120mm (intake) in the front and a 90mm Sunon (out) in the rear plus an 80mm Sunon on the top left side (out). The heatsink is a GlobalWin FOP32 with an YS Tech 60mm fan.

Any suggestions as to insulation, changing fans etc. would be appreciated.

Correction to above. I have a GlobalWin FOP 38. I already got rid of the very noisy Delta fan. What else can be done to reduce noise?

120V fans are quieter than 12V ones.

I have 3 120V fans in my Addronics 7896 case. In the bottom front there is a 120mm and an 80mm. In the rear there is an 80mm. These replaced similar 12V fans.

Also, with the increased CFM of the 120V models, I was able to remove some 12V fans altogether, and reduce the noise even further.

You can still hear the fans, but they are about 1/2 as loud and they make a much more pleasant sound. They sound more like air-blowing rather than a high pitched airplane noise.

I ran all the wires as far away from components as possible. I haven't had any problems with interference, line noise, or instabitily.

Isn't your biggest source of noise is from your Fop 38. How loud is that one? Panaflo is known for making the most quiet fan w/ better performance.
