Looking for advice on graphics card

I'm looking into buying a new graphics card, but as I have no idea at all what's available and what's good, I thought to ask this question in this forum.

The mainboard is a ASUS P2B-F with a PentiumIII 450. The most graphics intensive thing i usually do is Everquest, other than that it's most basic windows stuff.

Check out some of the video card reviews on the main page. Anandtech does a pretty good job at reviewing them.

Get a Geforce 2MX card 32MB AGP. Around for $90 great card. Fast.

Faster then any VooDoo cards that cost hundreds.

If gaming-wise you are into things like Everquest and not the first-person shooters then I would suggest going with a Radeon, as the nVidia-based boards aren't that great at 2D which is where the Radeon's shine. Their 3D is very good too, but it sounds like the 2D world is what you are interested in most.

Yepp.. The GeForce cards are famous for producing sh!t 2D graphics. Go with Radeons.. I have seen them in action, they are unbeatable in 2D quality no questions.
