Im looking to get a wirless mouse for my laptop, id like one of those that has the base station that looks like a USB thumb drive rather than a bulky thing hanging from a wire from my laptop.

Example

anyone have any suggestions?

Mouse

This looks like a pretty good one - I am considering it for my own laptop - the whole things nests inside of the mouse. It is a small mouse - not micro, but small, and there are no wires or dongles.

MS announced a bunch of new ones recently.. like pass few days... friend has ms one.. works up to about 6-7ft away..

Bluetooth mice suck...

Look for Logitech ones. Sam's Club sells a real nice RF wireless one for like $25 that rocks.

i saw the MS one up front that the 2nd poster left, I thougt it looked better in person than on the web

also saw some logi v200's, they are OK.

I've been happy w/ the Kensington PocketMouse Pro Wireless. Dongle tucks away nicely into the mouse. There's even a switch inside the "dongle-hole" (oh baby) that powers off the mouse when the dongle is stored, saving battery life. Been using one almost daily for 3+ years w/ no probs.

I have the Logitech V500 with the USB adapter that stores inside and the touchpad mousewheel. I love it.

I am testig the prototype of Logitech's upcoming G7 cordless mouse and I can say it will be the mouse to have. It is much better than anything they have ever released and the LION batteries it comes with are superb. It should be releasing in the next few weeks if anyone else is looking for one. Highly reccomend them. No, I dont work for Logitech, just lucky enough to be able to have one early. The mouse is incredibly accurate and uses a small (thumb drive sized) receiver to communicate. It comes with a module to charge the batteries via USB and will charge the spare battery while the main one is in the mouse in use.

I've used the Kensington, but it was just too small.

My Boss has that one and the MS one linked above, and really like the MS one.
His words: "It's bigger than the Kensington mouse, which is good, but still small. I love it and so does my wife. Very happy with it."
