Looking for some kind of weather resistant, or maybe even impact resistant, digital camera for work. So far I've found the Olympus Stylus line, specifically the 500. All of the other weather resistant cameras seem to be more weather proof, i.e. underwater cameras. But something with impact resistance would be good, too (able to sustain a drop from head height). Options?

good luck w/that.

my underwater housing for my A510 is more of an all around "protection" housing. i took that thing up in the parachute when i was parasailing and had it around my neck, and the wind was banging it all over the place, 300 feet in the air. i also had it in my hand when i jumped 10 feet off the boat into the water when i snorkelled. i also had it on my neck while i was on a waverunner and it was banging all over the place. i also had it around my neck when i was horseback riding and it too was bangin all over the place. i could also just toss it in the sand when on the beach and not worry about sand getting in it.

speaking of all that ... i still miss Aruba and its been over a month since I got back :(

I don't need to go underwater, I just want something that I could use in the rain, and not worry about dropping or getting too dirty.
