Looking for a virus to prank my friend...

I'm looking for a virus to prank my friend. We've been going back and forth being stupid crap to each other and I'd like to really get under his skin this time and get him good.

Something not destructive. Something just fun but also pain in the ass to get rid of....

Any ideas?

wtf? do something original like...

take a screenshot of his desktop. set it as his wallpaper. watch the hilarity ensue.

set his internet explorer/firefox/etc. homepage to be Rick Rolled with the one that moves around the screen and doesnt allow you to exit unless you quit the program through task manager.

I guarantee this will cause your buddy's skin to boil.

Make sure what you are proposing to do is not illegal in your state. Just like prosecuting domestic violence, it may not be up to your buddy to not prosecute you if this goes very badly in the wrong direction (lets say he unwittingly cross-contaminates a government server) and a disgruntled/irritable local DA decides to make you their relection poster-child.

Unlikely? Sure. Worth the risk? Not in my book. Do something else that is not in a gray area of legality.

It's a trojan. You can use it remotely and control pretty much everything on his computer.

Sub7 was awesome back in the day. You can't really use it anymore since all virus scanners freak out at the mere existence of it on your harddrive.

Oh, weak.

I used to love messing around with that in high school.

Figure out a way to run this at every web page he goes to

Works best with sites that have a lot of pictures. Just insert it into the URL.

Didn't work for me.. Is that the one where everything flies around all crazy?

Back in the day, when DOS was all the rage on desktops, one of the other IBMers and I wrote a bat file that used ascii characters to draw a picture on the green screen and wish everyone a merry christmas. Just before the program ended, it typed out on the desktop

delete file1.nam (using the actual file names on the users' C drive.)
delete file2.nam
...

It wasn't actually deleting the files, just printing "delete file.nam" but it was hilarious watching them scramble to try and stop the action.

hahaa yep, kids would be sitting there playing unreal, wondering why the hell they were jumping and firing in random directions. 😀

then i'd get on unreal and kick their a$$es. :sun: we made it a jpeg on a floppy, just wait till they went to the bathroom, snag their ip and run the jpeg, hilarity ensues.

Don't forget to end-task on Explorer!

Wasn't there a virus that opened up you CD drive? When you close it it would open it again.
Would be sweet if you could some how put it on his machine and make it work.

That was any of the trojans that had remote admin capabilities (an infamous one being SubSeven as mentioned in this thread).

So my suggestion is a remote admin program you can have run as service in the background.
