Ugh, sorry, that would help wouldn't it?

HDD: WD Raptor HD

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor BX80557E6600

MB : ASUS P5B-E LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard

Memory : Corsair 2 x 2mb ddr 3 2800

PSU : not sure of the brand but it's 650W

OS : Windows Vista 64bit

I think you mean Corsair 2 x 2GB DDR2 800.

Anyway, that's a relatively old system. Your current card is a fairly good match for the processor. If you're willing/able to overclock your CPU to at least 3Ghz, you could go with an HD6850, which will give you close to 2x performance in games that are not CPU-limited for ~$150. That is absolutely as high as I'd go with your system.

The highest you should go if you don't overclock is the HD5770, which will give you up to 50% more performance for $100 when not CPU-limited: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161338

To give you some idea of what improvements you could achieve, compare the 5770 to the 8800gt (which is just barely slower than your card): http://www.anandtech.com/show/2856/5.

I will second the suggestion to OC your CPU, shoot for 3-3.2GHz or so. Follow the guide in the CPU forum and you'll be fine. Oh - and the stock heatsink will be adequate for this mild OC.

From there, I'd recommend either a Radeon 6850 or a GTX 460 (768MB if you game at 16x10 or lower, 1GB if @ 19x10 or 19x12).
