Altec Lansing MX5021 ~$135
Klipsch I-Fi ~$200 Refurb, ~$400 Retail

I'd get the iFi refurb...

If you can go to 200, get the Klipsch I-Fi Refurbed. Otherwise, MX5021.

The iFi refurbs look really nice, I would go that rout also. Heck, I have a pair of z5500s for my dorm, and I'm considering getting the iFi's for home... they definitely look nice.

Thanks for all of the advice guys. I decided to go with the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 set.

iFi would be better than the Swans with a similar sub in the clarity department. Better driver materials, better bracing, less distortion, better served for near-field performance.

Swans would have over the iFis in dispersion, soundstage, and larger sweet spot, but you would have to position them much farther away than the iFis to get the most out of them-- 1.5 times further apart than you are sitting away from them, and probably a nominal distance of about 5-6 feet toed-in.

The MX5021 is better in my opinion... but it's your call.
