I haven't been following motherboards lately, but is the KT333 the only current Athlon chipset that supports onboard Firewire? I'm looking for a mobo with built-in Firewire ports... and it looks like my only choice is the Asus A7V333. Does anyone know of any other good socket A boards that provide good overclocking support and firewire?

Its not that other boards don't support on-board firewire, board makers just didn't put it on other baords, anyway. I don't know of any others, but why not the A7V333? Its a great board, and very suitable for ocing, although a tad expensive.

Yeah, looks like the A7V333 is the only the board that has everything I want. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I would like to see the price drop a few bucks. Howevever, I think I'm going to go with ti.

The Abit AT7 Max board also has onboard firewire, and again it is the KT333 chipset. Its retailing on PriceWatch for $148 at its cheapest (ussa.com i think). The boards got a lot of add-on features, whether they're dodgy or not remains to be seen.......
