Looking for a small VPS host

I'm looking for a small VPS account with a RELIABLE webhost and about 3GB of disk space and 30GB of bandwidth.

Does anyone have any suggestions or offers?

The only affordable and reliable VPS I would recommend is jvds.com which starts at USD $20.00 per month. Don't forget their educational discount which offers 15% off for teachers and students. That reduces the price to $17/mo after 15% discount.

Linode.com is also worth considering but jvds.com would still remain my top choice.

It's sad to see you leave HTTPme.COM which is one of THE BEST WEB HOSTS I have ever used. They simply rock.

We recently signed up for a ServInt.net VPS and their speed, support and uptime have exceeds our expectations 10x fold! Plus they offer DirectAdmin (which is better than cPanel).

I don't actually plan to leave HTTPme. I have a bunch of sites hosted there but would like to supplement it with a VPS account.

One of the main problems I'm having with HTTPme is the lack of ability to block spam effectively. I used to have a dedicated server before HTTPme (but couldn't justify the cost) and I could block by subnet, which took care of 95% of spam before it even reached the server (iptables rules).

Do you have any suggestions for blocking spam at httpme?

BTW - I must agree... HTTPme is one of the best web hosts out there. Their support is incredible and price is very good for what you get!

It is worth every last penny. Although I moved my web site to a ServINT VPS, I plan on keeping my HTTPme account. However it would be nice if my account was in their LA data center.

Wizkid - I'll contact Steven, the new owner of HTTPme and see if he has any anti-SPAM suggestions.

Do you have any estimates as to the reliability? I'm thinking this may be a great replacement for my shared hosting account and my P166 server at home on DSL.
