Living in the greater Boston area has gotten out of hand. Just last month my parents put in $600 worth of oil which SHOULD last a month and a half. The rent is ok at $1000, but with my sister having just moved in, the house is too small and unfortunately leaded (she's pregnant). So we have to find a house quick. Her husband is coming next month with her 3 year old. So this little 900 sq. ft. house is going to quickly be too full. We looked for a couple of decently sized 3 bedroom houses in the greater boston area but the prices are way too steep (around $1800). I then realized the only reason my parents are looking in the Boston area is because of me, so I can continue to finish High School. I told them they shouldn't pay 800+/month just for me so I told them to look for a nice 2 bedroom house/townhouse/apartment in the south shore. So after a couple of hours I found this nice townhouse, plenty big, for $1000 including utility. De-leaded and everything. I figured that if I get a room in Boston for $500 or so that would help a lot. Happens that I found a good one very near where I work for $450/month including utility. Parents offered to help me with $200 month. Doing this they'll still save $600 month. Actually more since this includes utility, WAY more. Point is I need to find a roommate. I'm an 18 year old, male H.S. Senior. I do my own laundry, clean, cook, so my parents are confident I can handle myself and won't be a bother. I have set up an appointment (they didn't ask my age, I just told them I work at the nearby bank), What kind of question should I ask? I've a complete newbie in this whole roommate thing. Like what's taboo? Help please
