Looking for a reliable CGI "upload script" for web page

I am looking for a free upload script that you have "personal experiance with." I have found some, but I am looking for a specific recommendation.

I'd like it to be able to: set file limit, adjust extension, optional password or user specific, ect...

I rather use CGI instead of PHP3 for security reasons. Unless you found a really good PHP script that offers that.

haven't used anything specific in a while but i remember cgi-resources.com had quite a delection of scripts
