One handgun possibly two. Ammo, ear protection, a place for spent brass. I'm pretty new to this so feel free to point out anything I've overlooked or considerations I might not think of.

There are a ton of them out there and I'm a little overwhelmed, so I thought I'd ask for suggestions. I'd really like to keep it under $100.

I like the price on this one but it's kind of large. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=259680

I just went to an Army Surplus store and got a Mechanic/Medic Bag...around $10 or $15 I think. Fits everything.

That's a good suggestion. I was looking for a small duffle bag of some kind today. Real sloppy snow falling all morning and I got tired of driving in it and getting in and out of the car. I decided to shop from home.

I might go with this one?

I think we've still got a surplus store in the area. I should check that out.

My range bag is handmade from the skin of the innocent. I find the supple texture of human skin to be the most luxurious carrier for my weapons. People at the range always complement my bag, and I just laugh, and tell them I imported it from the middle east! Everyone knows this.

I went with CRXican's suggestion. The Uncle Mike's bag. Thanks to everyone for their help!

I have one like the one in the OP and it is pretty large. Fits lots of stuff though and seems to be good quality.

There are 256 reviews spanning over several years and everyone was universally happy with it. But, like you said and I thought, it's bigger than I wanted.

You know how things go though, just my luck I'll get the bug big time and in a year I'll be needing that bigger bag. :D
