Looking for a quiet, 650w PSU for gaming

After years of building my own systems, the PSU is by far the number one item to fail/malfunction. Never go cheap!

This so true. I have worked in IT and retail PC repair and found so many times cheap PSUs are used in systems and cause so many headaches (probably hundreds of systems.) People never want to spend money on a good PSU and don't realize how much they are asking a cheap power supply to do. I always encourage people to build on a solid "platform" for their PC so that components have solid clean power and room to grow.

Agree with comments above. Seasonic 620 is great! I have one too and can never hear it. 🙂

Also recommend Corsair AX650. Both are fully modular but Corsair, has slightly longer cables which help in full tower builds as well as a 7 year warranty instead of 5.
