I am looking for a portable rechargeable audio player that can read MP3 and/or FLAC files from USB or SD, that can produce loud, clear music with a flat frequency response for camping, fishing, parties etc... Bluetooth would be a plus - Ideas?

$150 - $200 range, maybe a little more is there is a significant jump in quality.

Weight/size not an issue

Thanks in advance!

the fiio x1 plays pretty much any file, loud output, 99 bucks at amazon, takes microSD cards up to 128gb. end of story. it's the best option easily.

Thanks for the reply, but was looking for something a bit higher power, stereo preferably with subwoofer

So what in the world do you need bluetooth for?

Everything you said in your first post leads to a pocket mp3 player type device.

I doubt anyone makes an actual stereo set just to play digital music. You buy a player, and then you buy speakers.

You're asking for a player right now, or a unicorn.

Yeah, that sounds like two separate products then. Portable audio player and speakers or a dock.

I'd get a cheap Android phone, and a boombox from the thrift shop. If you want them connected, get some velcro too.
