Looking for a particular daemon/software

I'd swear I saw a program that records and displays the highest number of RX/TX packets off of an interface but I can't remember what it was called.

I know you can pull the information off of ifconfig, but if memory serves, this would do that, record it and present statistics for that interface.

I'm thinking like uprecords does for uptime.

With this vague description, can anyone point out what I'm thinking of?

possibly, but I haven't had the chance to properly dig into cacti yet. This was supposed to be something small and light weight.

I do have a vague recollection of something similar too but can't remember what it's called. Cacti is a pretty simple setup, on Debian all of the heavy lifting of setting up MySQL is done via debconf in the post-inst scripts, the rest is just logging into the website and setting up devices.

I may as well go with that then. I've used it a few times in the past and had some successes with it, I was just hoping for something smaller.
