Looking for a notebook with Radeon9600

Only one I found is the T42...and that's atleast 2000 bucks. :frown:

I want it light. I want it to have a goood battery life. I want it to be able to still play games 2 years from now. And oh yeah, I don't want to break the bank.

i got this laptop and its great
it is just over 6lbs, gets 4+ hours of battery life, and has a radeon9700
and you can get it for much less than a thinkpad

If you're interested in the T42, hunt around in the Thinkpad Forums for the Master Card or Discover Card discounts. Basically, you can manage about a $200 discount. Plus, if you call up IBM and tell them its your first purchase you might be able to negotiate down the price, but that's a rumor. I would strongly recommend the T42 as a portable desktop replacement.
