I too have the Q, and while it has it's downsides, I rather like it.

Just discovered a program that uses triangulation to note your position to tell you where you are and where the nearest starbucks is:D

I had the Razr for a year until I got the Q and never once had an issue with it. It actually looked like new when I sold it, but I always kept it in my pocket and never once dropped it.

My wife still has hers (we both got Verizon and Razr's at the same time) and she still has no issues.

The chocolate flip phone is nice. I hate the touch sensitive buttons without any tactile response of the Choclate phone. If you have verizon I would go with the chocolate flip phone.

I had the LGvx8600, but for some reason didn't like it as much as I thought it would. I went back to the Verizon store (it was time for my upgrade) and looked for another one. My mom went with me because we were going to find out about adding her to my plan. (She is currently on my Grandmother's plan. Well. . . now she's technically on both until May. lol) The store was low on it's quota for new lines that day and the manager told him to let me get any phone in the store that I wanted if I added my mom. So I did. I'm not a "candy bar"-type phone, but I got the LG enV. It had a better camera and with all the texting I do, it fit the bill and I LOOOOOVE it.

OP: the 8600 is the flip version chocolate. it's 179.99 on the 2yr contract, if you can use your NE2 it'll be 79.99 with a $50 MIR later

is that out yet?

edit: damnit, defintely trading my phone in now.

That stupid thing costs almost a hundred bucks more then the Silver just because it's black. PDA phones are even more expensive anyway 'cause you need a data package.

UPDATE: I went with the LG VX8600, great compact phone which doesn't seem flimsy like the RAZR. Plus I got it for $30 after the $50 rebate and a $50 phone allowance from Verizon I didn't know about :D
You made a good decision based on your needs. The price is coming down now because a replacement (VX8700) will be out soon, but with your needs there's no need to wait for that.
