My plan iis almost up so I will be looking for a new phone soon.

I currently have a Motorola android phone and looking at the Samsung Galaxy s6 or jumping to an iPhone.

I have more apps on the android phone than my iPad at home that I use for wed and streaming.

At where I work I get a better discount at AT&T than my current Verizon.

Thanks!

The S6 Active will be available from AT&T starting Friday, so your timing is good if you want a ruggedized S6 with higher battery capacity. The LG G4 might be worth considering if you want the microSD slot and replaceable battery, and possibly a slightly better camera than the S6 (though both are very good, and there are situations where the GS6 will be better than the G4).

I wouldn't switch to iPhone, especially if you have an iPad and already use Android for phone. Android for phone and iOS for tablet is a good combo. That's just my own preference, though. It's understandable if you want to use be on the same ecosystem for both devices, but I prefer the flexibility of multiple ecosystems and especially using Android over iOS for smartphone because of root access and being able to use apps to finely control data usage, permissions, etc.

It really depends on what you're looking for.

The iPhone has better battery life, a simpler interface and an overall better ecosystem for apps and accessories. It's also your only option if you want to wear an Apple Watch at some point down the road. If you do switch, Apple just put out a Move-to-iOS app that could help streamline getting equivalent apps.

The GS6 has a phenomenal display, higher-res cameras and faster performance, as you'd expect for a phone released several months later. However, it has merely so-so battery life and won't have quite as much selection for quality apps and accessories.

If you're content with Android, I'd consider looking at the LG G4 as an alternative. Its battery life should be better than the GS6 without sacrificing much in the way of camera quality and speed, and you might dig the optional leather back.

You have a grace period with new contract, try an iPhone, if it doesn't feel good, return it, get the S6.

The S6 just came out and will be the best normal sized Android we will probably see all year. If I was going Android (and I wasn't nuts about any certain thing like MicroSD cards or fast updates) I would just get a S6.

Meanwhile the iPhones are stale and are about to get a refresh in a few months with twice as much RAM and a SoC that should be 30% more powerful at least. I would wait on an iPhone.

You can try up HTC 840 Desire. It has a good camera, large screen resolution and many useful apps.
