Looking for a new motherboard

Ok, so my motherboard just died on me and I need a new one. This is my chance to go PCIe so what I'm asking for is what is the best price/performance motherboard, 939, PCIe, don't need sli, and for an atx case. Should be stable and good overclocker, but doesn't need to be insane overclocker.

It's for the rig in my sig.

Also, do motherboards come with 20-24 pin power adapters? I don't know what I have and if I'll need one. I have a x1900xt waiting right here with me (gotta love dell small buisness)

The boards don't usually come with the adapter, usually they come with the PSU.

That asrock one says it supports 20 pin. Is that a typo? all the other motherboards I was looking at said 24...

The Truepower series are only 20 pin, Truepower II are 24 pin. Boards may work without it, especially if video card uses additional power, but it is always recommended to have it. You can buy adaptors for about $10-15 shipped or just sell your PSU and buy a new one.

Ya know, you are 100% right. Both the ASRock boards are indeed 20 pin. Reminds me of the cheap P4 boards that didn't need the 4 pin +12v plug. The cheaper ASRock board has a following for being able to overclock, though it is also quirky and some of the better overclocks require some modding or some modded BIOSes. There are many threads around here and at OCWorkshop.com which have more info - just search for them by board model.

Quite a few boards will run with 20-pin.
e.g. Abit's 939 boards whilst they ship with 24-pin connectors do say that they will run with a 20-pin (+ the ATX12V1).

Only issue you might have with a non-24 native pin mobo would be a high end PCIe card with a loaded out rig and overclocked. That said the above link are nice PCIe mobos for what you seem to be looking for. I would go for an Asus ATI board or the AsRock.
