What Zebo said. There's really no arguing it. It uses a brand new panel and performs at a higher level in lots of benchmarks compared to other LCDs/CRTs. Only place where it is left behind is response time (still very miniscule) compared to CRTs, but it is still the best of all LCDs.

Colors compared to AG CRT (lower the delta bar the better): http://www.lesnumeriques.com/duels.php?ty=6&ma1=120&ma2=52&mo2=95&p2=969&ph=6

Surely better than the shadow mask CRT you posted unless for response time. Do note the 20WMGX2 is widescreen.

Basically, just look at monitors that use the new S-IPS panels with overdrive.

I'm not familiar with LCD's or what widescreen means in this sense....a quick search yeilded nothing. Basically what does that mean to me? Does it require a video card capable of it? i noticed it's native resolution doesn't seem to be supported by my card. i'm using a radeon 7000. does that card support it or was i loooking in the wrong spot? Thanks for the help.

Wow that's quite a premium for a 1680x1050 monitor. How much better would you say it is compared to the 2005 FPW? The one I have right now has absolutely no light leakage at all or dead pixels so I'd need something quite a bit better to switch over.

I got my 2005FPW for $350 on a really hot deal, also have no back light bleed - no dead pixel and I still say this monitor is worth twice as much. I talk about it in review I made. But basically everything about image is superior *and* it's much faster which is quite and achivement.

However, if you don't notice motion blur on your 05, then it's probably not the best investment. 2005 is top 5 easy in IQ if you got a good one.. NEC is number 1 though.
