Looking for a new Micro SD for my phone. What speed matters and doesn't?

Right now I have 16gb Sandisk HC I and want to get more storage. I don't do any 4k stuff, I usually stick with 1080p max. Right now I have a LG G3 and Xperia C4.

What do I need to look for?

Thanks

I generally go for SanDisk Ultra or Extreme, UHS Class 1/3 cards. The actual read/write speeds may differ among cards - read reviews and look at benchmarks if you want to be sure - but SanDisk Ultra and Samsung EVO typically are cards that are fast and reliable enough for normal use and for apps on Android. Their Extreme and Pro cards, respectively, are more expensive and rated at or above 90MB/s, but ~20-40MB/s sequential read/write should be fine for normal use... the pro cards are more essential for 4K video.

I don't usually pay attention to the random write/read performance in benches unless it's abnormally low.

Samsung's Evo line is the go-to, but don't go berserk -- stick to the Evo+ rather than the Pro, unless you're willing to pay extra to get the best possible performance.

SanDisk is dandy, I'd add, it's just that Samsung has a good rep lately.

I'm gun-shy on SanDisk - there are too many counterfeits floating around, and their initial batches of 64gb cards were really bad. (I bought straight from Amazon, which should be a known-good source.)
