My current Serta pillowtop from Sam's Club is starting to show some wear. It's about 7 years old and has been through 4 moves. It's starting to sink in the middle. My wife has a tendency to roll toward me (I'm 230, she's 115). We've been wanting a king sized mattress, so it seems like a good time to make that happen.

Choices we've come up with:

Original Mattress Factory orthopaedic super pillowtop - mattress & box spring are about $1200

- 12 year full warranty
- flip-able (pillowtop on both sides)
- better quality according to OMF
- expensive compared to Serta

Serta Fairmont Firm Eurotop from Sam's Club - mattress & box spring $650 in our local Sam's.

- only 10 year limited warranty. current Serta sinking after 7 years.
- can't flip. pillowtop only on 1 side
- memory foam top. my wife and I like memory foam.
- much, much cheaper.

Anyone have either of those mattresses? Both seem pretty nice. OMF advertises their stuff as better quality, but I can buy 2 of the Sertas for the price of one OMF mattress, so I don't care if it only lasts half as long.

There's an OMF factory in our city and I know a few people who have bought mattresses there. All have been satisfied. They've said that comparing mattresses of similar quality, the OMF brand was always cheaper.

Are you sure those two mattresses are comparable?

You have a Sleepys there? Go there and do the pricematch. They will match online prices of similair mattresses and you can haggle.

If you're considering Sam's Club for a mattress, may I suggest checking out Big Lot's. I picked up a Serta from there for pretty cheep. I remember reading somewhere that the Sertas between Sams and Big Lots are the same.

I would think. OMF says they use better coils than everyone else with the exception of Stearns and Foster. They also make their mattresses 2 sided so they can be flipped.

Other than that, I'd say comparable.

I'm just trying to figure out if the OMF mattress is worth the considerable extra expense.
