Aside from networking, what's good online that I haven't mentioned below:

-Monster
-Careerbuilder
-Indeed (aggregate search)
-K-force

Not a fan of LinkedIn due to their privacy issues.

Craigslist. I'm looking right now, and I've gotten several interview requests from CL, and after 6 months none from recruiting agencies, careerbuilder, or direct applications on company websites.

Yea def a fan of CL. It feels more direct than a big job boards. My current job was gotten through CL.

I'm getting calls from all sorts of recruiters on career builder or monster every week. This is with a 3 year old resume. Some of that stuff on there I don't really do anymore. Now I've mainly working with java not c# or .net. Craigslist can be good depending on your area.

See if you can find an industry specific job posting board. I've never had much luck with the likes of Monster et al in the past. And don't shy away from LinkedIn. It can help you find out who to address your resume to.
