I've been looking for a new desk..... right now im pretty close to ordering this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2309362614&category=20495

Anyone here got this desk by chance? It looks pretty nice (im gonna get all black with silver metal). Anyone else know any desks better than this? Its gotta have room for two monitors. This one is perfect, cause im gonna put my 19" in the main spot and a little 15" LCD on the top right shelf pointing down....... if anyone knows better desk, please post here. This one will cost me around $180 CDN to get it shipped to me

I'm sure shipping alone would negate the eBay price - you can't find one close to you at a B&M store?

it's the best!!!..and they had a deal on this when i got this......u can use staples coupons too..ahahha nice desk i love it.....assembly required, but it wasn't that bad assembling it (it requires 2 people, although i was able to do it myself, it was VERY difficult to do so by my self).....

all my roommates have this desk....

EDIT: staples has free shipping on orders over $50!
EDIT2: besides, the desk ur eyeing looks kinda weak..i thought about buying a similar one ..but there's no worksapce...i have tons of workspace...it looks nice...complements my comp really well...and i study on this desk..eat on it..aha....and it's super durable... trust me, i abuse this desk like insane....put a heavy 19incch trinitron monitor on it...bang it when i'm mad......it can take a beating.....

They are in Canada, and so am I..... so shipping is cheap. Only $30 CDN. So $99 ($150 CDN) + $30 = $180.

i just went over to ikea, bought a table top and some matching legs. Good to go. Don't think you have access to one but ideas for other people.

Just checked out ikeas stuff, not much to pick from. Buncha crap really. Right now my current desk is actually pretty good, it's oak/black and got a nice hutch, with a side table attached. Fits nice in my room. But, im getting rid of it for three reasons:

- Not enough room for my chair to fit under it (just 3 more inches).
- No room for a second monitor
- No room for my tower... it's on the carpet and its very hard to reach. I want something that lets my tower be easy accesible.

It's a nice desk though. Once I get my new desk ,ill take some pics and sell it to some local ;)

i like the ikea stuff, well the few ones made of REAL wood, not just fiberboard. its true some don't have the space for two crts though, but thats what lcds are for, sqeezin in a second monitor anywhere hehe:)

while desks with tons of gaps are nice... i like desks with drawers and cabinets with doors for the case and stuff to keep my stuff. basic space efficiency, the more open something is, less usable storage space. btw ikeas webselection is a fraction of their warehouse stores, its odd.

I used to have a bigger shaped desk like SpiderX but when we moved I was forced to get rid of it :( Anyways the desk you have picked out looks neat and should get the job done.
