Looking for a new 17" LCD for gaming

I currently have a NEC MultiSync LCD1700M+ and it's been great for the 4+ years I've had it but I think it's time to get a new monitor, the VGA cable (no DVI) is going and it's not replacable.

When this LCD was introduced response time was not advertised as LCDs were just starting to make their way to the desktop, this NEC was like $800 new.

Anyway, I need a good 17" LCD for gaming that is below $400, any recommendations?

Dell has two models that look pretty similar but they don't publish response times...

What about Samsung or Viewsonic or NEC? Or even that new Shuttle?

 
I am currently using the Samsung SnycMaster 712N. It is a great panel, very bright and a 600:1 contrast ratio. It is rated @ 12ms response time, and I've noticed no ghosting in Doom 3, Far Cry, COD etc. I picked mine up at Circuit City for around 450 with some MIR. I believe you can get it at Best Buy this Friday for under $300 after rebates.

i have the 712n and do not notice any bad image quality because of the lack of dvi. i am pretty anal about image quality and i really do love this lcd.
