I am no go0d at teh go0gles.

I saw a thread about this a month ago or so but I can't find it anymore. It had a search where you could put in your college and it would show what was available to you through the software exchange program at the school.

Contact your IT department or school library, as this information usually isn't made public to prevent piracy and illegitimate usage and shizzle.

Contact the SITS at your school and see what they have availible. My gf just bought a new laptop with Vista on it :-( and I had her school put a dual boot of Vista/XP and Office on there free of charge.

Wrong :)

But as others have mentioned, the program is only availible to certain post secondary institutions, and even then only certain programs.

You can as any student usually get a good discount.

Search Google for "<your school name> msdnaa". If you don't see an appropriate link, then your school probably doesn't have the MSDNAA program.

we can get it discounted through a student website. Faculty and certain engineering students get free software.

we have to go to our bookstore and tell them our program. We have to pay $10 because we actually get the discs though.

at our school all you need is 1 course of MSIS or other computer/engineering course to be qualified for MSDNAA for your time there.

Its pretty sweet and btw you can get 2 copies of software that comes on DVD/CDs one serial for each. <whistles>
Most degree plans require one MSIS course at the least, well, here anyways they do so almost everyone gets it.

our school gets it, but you have to email the math department chair and be enrolled in an "approved" class.

i love the fact that all the residents who purchased a pc with vista on it doesnt work with our school network. in fact, they told them to DOWNGRADE to xp while they are waiting. how stupid is that?
