The early corp. printers from HP were amazing. We have an aincent, yellowed, loud and slow HP LaserJet 4si sitll working like a champ here at our office. Over 1 million pages and it's still going strong. We just threw a new fuser in it for cheap so it should give us a lot more use.
I am beginning to wonder if a lower cost, faster, more energy efficient printer that doesn't need a few minutes of warmup would be a better solution for us in the long run, though. But this thing is indestructible. The more recent desktop lasers HPs sell aren't the same quality and ruggedness, but considering this printer was more than $1,000 new and my 1018 at home cost me $50 after rebate, I'm not too worried about it. 😀
