I want to find a quality 2 or 4 kvm switch that will not affect gaming quality or video quality. I don't really know what to look for...

I have one computer set up for school/office work and a gaming rig. ... I had both running on the same keyboard and mouse and monitor but with the 6800 GT OC the shading seems off or something...

No such thing. They all degrade video from one extreme to the other. So your actually looking for the one that degrades game/video quality the least. And I have no idea. I gave up on KVMs when it comes to gaming. Inconvenient? Sure, but it beats double exposure text or blurriness.

At least not that you can detect. Yet. Which I suppose is as good as a KVM can get. If you can't physically see any "anomalies" then your in good shape. Just know that there is not a better video connection that connecting a monitor directly to a video card. That pretty much didn't need saying though.
