Hi folks,
I've been looking for a good pair of headset and found none except one in paticular.
It's name is .audio 90.
It's price is very fair, and it's quality is supposibly the best.
Some people have said its microphone is slacking of or going down the hill after a few months/years.
I have come to belive this headset is good enough for the time being and a fair price to go with it ($24-$35).
Does anyone have any suggestions of a better one? Or if this headset should cause or have any problems? Or do you simply have comments? Please reply soon!

Thx ya man Mega

Is "thx ya man" a variation of "thank-ya man" or is it more like, "thanks, your man, Mega"?

Stay away from it. I've had to return two seprate sets over a period of about 7-10 months each. One of those returns was just yesterday, I got a pair of Altec Lansing AHS-502s instead.

actually i have a set of the .90's and yes they cheap fo sho! BUT they have lasted me some time now about 4-5 months with no complaints. For the price I pad from newegg like 25 the headphones have decent response, dont distort unless at the highest lvl of volume and even then the mid-highs are rather crisp. The mic is yeah so so but once you get it setup with whatever you will be using it with I have had 0 problems and voice is clear with hardly any static.

Yes they are low end, and yes they are cheap but again for casual use online gaming yadda, talking to friends here and there they have served me well.Would prefer a more comfortable as these use that grey foam like many headphones but I didnt wanna waste extra money on something im not going to use all the time.

Well i'm basicly looking more into a headset not headphones (difference is headset have mic on the headphone).
I've looked at the one you told me and it would require me to have a microphone not on the headphones which i would rather not have.

I'm currently looking at the sennheiser headset got any other company thats good ?? tell me the name if you pls..

i got a really cheap headset called listening concepts cd110vm pretty much as a placeholder until i could get something better, but amazingly i've had them over a year and they are really comfortable and have a great microphone. sound quality is not amazing or anything, but they work well for games and compressed music.

I've had a pair of Audio 90's for about a year now and they've worked great. They were less than $30. I can't compare them to more expensive sets, because I've never used any, but to me, they sound great. They sound much better than my Altec Lansing 3 piece speakers. I only use the microphone rarely, mostly just some CS, but it seems to work fine. My only complaint is that when I first got them, they seemed a little uncomfortable. I don't know if they've softened up or if the plastic part has gotten more flexible, but now they feel fine.

I've heard lots of times that the microphone seem to go down the drain after a while...
I relized you mentioned not using it to often could it be possible you just don't notice it that the microphone starts to get quiet.

it is NOT the best. don't waste your money on plantronics junk! you will regret it. if you really want a headset get sennheiser pc-150, but i would recommend a good pair of headphones (like sennheiser hd) and a stand-alone mic.

I use an audio .90, my brother uses an audio .90, and my e-friend uses an audio .90. For their $22 pricetag on Newegg, their sound and mic quality is unsurpassed(as of yet), however, the average lifetime seems to be about 6 months.

One of my audio 90's had one ear go out, one had the mic go out, but I gladly popped another $22 because I really dont expect something that I use 5 hours a day almost every day(I play Natural Selection like a madman) to last that long.

Have I mentioned their greaty sound and mic quality right up until they break?

doesn't get annoying to me at all. what does get annoying is having a plantronics headset slowly die after only having it a month. the only other headset you should look at besides sennheiser pc-150 is the new icemat headset, but it's pretty expensive.

they're cheap but they sound terrible. definately try sennheiser PC155 if you're getting a headset, or just get real headphones.
