I'm looking to upgrade my 80GB IDE HDD to something faster. I'm looking for a 250GB SATA drive, but I have a few questions. First, would 16MB cache make much of a difference over 8MB? and would SATAII be any faster than SATA? Either way, the drive will have NCQ. Any suggestions/drive recommendations? thanks
 
the 16mb of cache had performance increase. No, SATA2 is pointless its a marketing scam the hd's now cant utilize 1.5gbs so why do they release sata2 at 3.0gbs?
