looking for a good rack KMM solution

Dell wants to charge $1500 for their 15FP KMM shelf...it looks extremely bad @ss in 24, but I don't know if I can justify the cost. Does anyone know is I can find something similar but cheaper?

Thanks,

I looked at doing that as well, but just couldn't justify spending $1500-$2000 for it. I just ended up buying:

$150 keyboard & mouse tray
$15 compact keyboard
$30 trackball
$150 14" lcd that I got on special
$50 4 port KVM

That's under $400 for the setup and just made more sense to give up 8U of space and save close to $1000.

If you want to get something similar for a little less look here -

Can't really speak much of vendor or manf. reliability though. So YMMV.

keyboard monitor mouse?

I know what you're going to say...isn't that kvm? yes and no, logically, kvm=kmm, but technically, kvm = the switch and kmm = the device attached to the switch

oh my, I've gone cockeyed! 😀
