I have been a Desktop Gamer all the time, never really played them on the laptop. Now I am getting ready to visit India for a month and would like to bring a Laptop with me that will allow me to keep tab on work here and also play some WoW (good Internet connection permitting).

I am not necessarily looking to play it on the max settings and would prefer something that is on the cheaper side.

I would appreciate any recommendations.

Thanks

most gamers like to play game on 17 inches laptop some on 15.4 inches laptop
For travelers they prefer to carry like 13 or 14 inches laptop
You can find cheap deal from Dell or HP...both offer good rebates.

What's your budget? WoW doesn't need anything to serious to run (you can easily run it on integrated graphics). Consider a 13" or 14" (max) since you'll be traveling. Intel's X3100 (with the latest drivers) should have no problem running WoW, especially if you get 2GB of RAM. If you want a dedicated video card, there are a few laptops in that size range that will fill that niche (8400M series cards) - the Dell XPS M1330, Asus W7S, Asus F9 (go with the Intel variants) - this one is also a 12.1", and the Asus U6/U3 (but these have no built in optical drives).

You can find all of those notebooks I listed on Newegg if you wanted to see their specs in detail (except the Dell XPS)
