Yenc support, hmmmmmm don't know of one off hand. I use Xnews myself but I don't see anything about yenc support in it, haven't had a need for it myself.

I also Xnews for reading news and it does have Yenc support. But for downloading files, although it's still a little beta-buggy, I like BNR2.

ok

tried GRABIT but didnt like it much, cant figure out how to input a default download path into it or how to automatically combine and decode messages, when i hit the "read message" it gives me raw encoded binaries. also cant figure out how to make it download multiple parts messages by geting just one of em (like gravity used to)

i would like to try the Xnews, can anyone post a link ? and are there anymore newsreaders other then that ?

I use Power-Grab 2002

# Download with up to 8 server connections at once.
# Decodes UU-Encoded and yEnc encoded files.
# Auto-Resume on disconnects and server down-time.
# Modifiable Download Queue window.
# Downloads can be stopped and restarted from where it left off.
# Download speed limit can be set and changed while downloading.
# Header data files are much smaller than those found in other news grabbers.
# Find window lets you search across ALL groups for keywords
# History window shows what you've done, when you did it, and how long it took.
# Newsgroup list shows how many files and their total size in K, MB or GB.
# Lots of testing has made Power-Grab stable and Resource-Friendly!

I used powergrab, then i moved onto Xnews because I could read and post text messages when i needed to also, on top of downloading binaries on all 4 of my available channels.
