Looking for a good external TV tuner...

I was looking at the Viewsonic NextVision N5 and N6...the price difference is significant and the only difference I see are the max resolutions at 1024x768 for the N5 and 1280x1024 for the N6...is the resolution increase worth that much in the price difference? I was actually thinking about getting a midsize HDTV then....haha not sure....what do you guys think?
