Looking for a good ereader

I want to get an ereader. can anyone suggest a good one? i know of the sony reader and the amazon kindle but what else is out there?

I don't recommend the Kindle yet. It's perfect in every way except for the large buttons on the sides - it makes it really difficult to hold without accidentally pushing the buttons.

The Sony E-Reader is the next best thing, but doesn't have nearly the library that Amazon has. They had a deal running on it for $50, I don't know if it's still valid:

I've heard it doesn't import PDF files very well though. Also there are some more expensive readers that you can do things like draw on, but then you'll be spending $600+.

I have a Sony PRS-500 and love it. Since the 505 is out now, the 500 can be had on ebay for <$150. I can't recommend it enough. You can get a better idea what's out there and what will suit your needs by heading over to the forums at Mobileread.
