Looking for a good container to keep stuff hot for lunch

What do you guys use to keep stuff like soups hot for a few hours to bring for lunch? I was looking at a few Stanley Thermos', and they've got some decent reviews, but I was wondering what you guys use for comparison. I want to bring soups for lunch, and don't really want to deal the microwave in our breakroom.

for soup I dont think theres anything better than the Thermos brand container.

A wide mouth hydroflask would do what you want. I have several hydroflasks now in different sizes that I use for hot liquids, cold liquids, etc. If left closed it will keep it completely steaming hot for an easy 4-6 hours.

Any vacuum flask works. Zojirushi, Thermos, Hydroflask, etc... Pick a well known brand and the size you want.

I use this one for cold water. I fill it with ice and then water. There will still be ice in it 2 or 3 days later, and that is after refilling it a couple of times a day. It is really good.

Hydroflask. Has kept my coffee very hot for 8 hours, then I drank it. Would have gone way longer.

I've carried it 3-4 days a week for about 3 years now. I hand wash the outside and put the interior containers in the dishwasher, I think I've even tossed the bag in the laundry once or twice. It is still in basically new condition.

Make sure you know what this is. This is basically a bento box. It gives you one small soup container a larger container for rice (or whatever) which are both insulated and will stay hot all day, then and 2 smaller containers for dry foods which will stay lukewarm. The best way to use this is to fill it with boiling water in the morning and let it get nice and hot while you put the containers together, then pour the water out and put the containers in. They will stay hot for a long time.

Ah. Maybe this isn't for me then. I'm just looking for something specifically to keep things like soup/chili etc. warm so I don't have to use a microwave and separate container while at work. I'll look at some of the thermos'

I looked into the Hydroflask and it is very nice but I decided I wanted to save a few bucks and found The Flow brand on Amazon. Same exact thing basically. So far working amazing with cold liquids and the reviews are solid. I like that it comes with a variety of lids, including one with a straw, which is my favorite. So shop around.

Bring it to work cold, use the microwave. That way you're using their energy and not yours.

My daughter uses the Thermos brand soup container. It seems to work great as any vacuum thermos would. As long as they're airtight, they will retain heat until lunch 4-5 hours. Definitely buy the capacity you think you need. When I eat soup, I typically want a few cups of it. I would look for something in the 24oz range, but I'm a big guy.

Yea I'm going to go for a 24 oz size. I don't want to use the microwave because I like to eat lunch in my truck, listening to a podcast or watching an episode of a show. I could just leave the thermos or whatever I decide on in my truck without the fuss of reheating it and carrying it back to my truck. I guess I'm just being part lazy and part efficient lol

I ended up getting a Stanley thermos 24 oz at target. I think it was $18.99.
