Looking for a good car for under $8k

what do you guys know/think about a Saab 9-3?

How expensive are parts for these? Im assuming/hoping less than germans cars but a little more than asian cars? Am i correct to assume that?

$8k will get you a 99SE 5 speed w/ leather and miles well below 100k.

Yeah if you go with a GXE, maybe of a 98 or something, it will still be nicer than an econobox and for $8k you could get miles down to 50-60k, if somebody happens to be selling one then. Premium does suck, yea 🙁
