Looking for a good C++ and Java 2 book ....

Hi. As the subject indicates, I am looking for both a C++ and Java book. I already have Stroustrup's C++ book and Java 2 Programmers Reference. But I see those two books more as references than tuturials or primers.
Any suggestions of a good book, with maybe exercises or mini-projects? Or just a good all-around book. Thanks.

I don't know about C++ but here's a good all around book for Java:

A great Java book is the 'core' java books from Sun. More reference than anything else, but they are *the* reference for Java.

Any of the O'Reilly books are good too, but my best recommendation is to hit a bookstore and skim through what's there...
