Looking for a good 2.1 speaker setup.

I just got a Samsung 40" flat panel LCD and it seems that the built in speakers are terrible on this TV.

Can anyone recommend a good 2.1 speaker setup? Preferably something with two speakers and a subwoofer for the bass. I really don't want to spend a whole lot of money, I'd say $150-$200 tops and I'd like to avoid 5.1 setups altogether.

Thanks

$150-$200 doesn't leave you many options besides computer speakers.

Klipsch promedia is in that range (or lower)
Swan has a 2.1 set in that range as well

That budget would be really tough to hit buying things separately. If you hunt on craigslist and such, you might be able to do it.

I will definitley check those out.

As far as plugging it into my tv, I have some computer speakers plugged into it right now.

I had them plugged into the RCA audio output on the back of the TV, but this wouldn't let me control the volume with the remote or mute the TV. I then plugged the speakers into the headphone jack on the TV and now I can control the sound with the remote, but have I lost any quality by moving it from RCA to that 3.5mm headphone jack?

Thanks

Should be fine either way.

There may be a setting on your TV that changes the RCA output on the back between fixed and variable as well.
