Well I have started looking for LCD monitors and I am curious what you might reccomend? I do play all types of games, from counterstrike to NWN. Also I do alot of homework on the machine. I can not use a CRT monitor because I have some sort of interference with monitors that causes them to shake. I was thinking of leaning towards a samsung 151s, because it has recieved great reviews from zdnet and cnet. Also it has a very attractive price tag. I dont really have any expierence with LCD monitors so anything would be great.

Thanks much

Halve

LCD flat pannels aren't that bad..........especailly not with the latest generation.....

Ghosting typically appears worst on games set with many bright light colours...(example Commache 4) ......

but tell you something,, most of the manufacutures cook the specs...so make sure you see the moniter before you get it...

Samsung 152T is nice, for little bit more, you could get Eizo L365.
If you don't need DVI, NEC 1550M is the only choice for analog input lcd.

My Inspiron 8200 has a Samsung 15" SXGA+ LCD and I think it looks great. It is by far the best looking LCD I've used. I've tried plenty of games on it (NWN included) and they all look fine. I highly recommend Samsung.

Eizo vs. Samsung ...

It seems the Eizo's are using NEC panels. That's interesting, as from all my research (viewing them in person at consumery stores, and reading the web, reading forums), the NEC panels and Samsung's panels are both top notch.

Toms Conclusion must have been in the back of my mind, but rereading it, I can see why the Eizo/NEC panels may be considered better -- they display darker shades more accurately -- and for many games which rely on darker colors to set moods, this would make the NEC-panel screens preferable...

Thanks for leading me back to the NEC panels King...
...Still learning more! :)

I've seen all Samsung models from Samsung showroom - they're nice, but still can't beat Eizo/Nec in display quality.
I chose Eizo,
the Hong Kong dealer of Eizo provides 3 years warranty with 1st week immediate exchange and first 2 years on-site and monitor rental during warranty service.
Samsung Hong Kong just gives 2 years onsite warranty.
The price of Samsung top-model - take 15" 152T or 151P for example is similar to Eizo L365.
How can I not prefer Eizo in this satuation?

Nec is overpriced in Hong Kong, for the price of 1550V, you can buy 1550M in the US, Nec is out of consideration.

Samsung Syncmaster 152T cost HKD $ 4,100 List , $ 3900 retail , $ 3600 with bargianing ...... Eizo Flexscan L375 cost HKD $4700, Flexscan 365 cost HKD $3900........
Had to make a choice between a Eizo and a Samsung 152 recently.......The eizo's is better.......
Big name stuff is over priced in HK thou...
