Looking for a Gaming Laptop

Hey everyone I was just wondering if there were any suggestions for a good gaming laptop that (preferably) costs less than $1000. I want one that has a 15 or 17 inch screen, and an Intel i5 or i7 processor. As for the graphics card, I don't really care if it's AMD or NVidia just as long as I can play games like Skyrim with good graphics and no FPS lag. I've used the website Game-Debate.com to determine what kind of hardware I should use for Skyrim and games like it, and have done some research on the actual hardware. So if anyone can help me find something I would love the help. Thanks!

In sorry if this is in the wrong section, and if it is, where should it be? Also, just so everyone knows this is NOT a post asking you to go research a laptop for me. I just want suggestions of any laptops you might know of that fit the things I'm asking for. I have done research myself but I just want some suggestions.

There's plenty of options that should fit your needs; makers like XoticPC and Sager come to mind, as there are several decent enough models that go for approx $900 that has FHD(1080) displays and have a halfway decent GPU to geep you gaming.

. . . but then again, I'd say hold out a bit longer as the prices that are listed on the models are normal prices (so they're not going anywhere) and the back-to-school sales are just around the corner (as well as a new line of CPUs coming out both from Intel and AMD) which means that you should be able to get a Sandy Bridge CPU laptop (e.g.; i7-2XXX is "Sandy-Bridge" and i7-3XXX is "Ivy Bridge") for a decent deal.

Most newer model computer chips will do the job if your only concern is gaming outside of the occasional word-processing and spreadsheet-making. Here is a great comparison chart to reference if you're curious as to what king of video card you'd want.

Wow thanks! I really like the whole Graphics Card chart it helped point me in the right direction. And I'm actually not buying the laptop until summer time. I just want to find out what kind I should get, and how much I am going to have to spend. I'm really hoping there will be a sale of some kind soon like you said and again, thanks for the help.

Also, would you (or anyone else) recommend the Glossy or Matte screen? I'm pretty sure I should go with Matte because there's less glare but I was just curious... I've seen a few websites that give an option between the two.

I personally cannot stand a glossy screen, as I hate the reflection. If something moves behind me, I get distracted by it. Matte for life here.

Ok so I've done a bit more research and it seems like everywhere I look I end up building a laptop, or just finding one, that costs more than $1000.

16F2 and 16F3 start at less than $1000 in the links you have been given so you are obviously not trying very hard lol.

Yes I just kind of upped my standards though. I would like to play current games with high settings, but I doubt any thousand dollar laptop will do that for me. So I might just have to go over my original budget.

Also, I think I might just buy the parts I want. I know someone who can easily build laptops as long as he has the parts. I'm sure that I could save a lot more money that way. Thanks for the help everyone.

Oh I already know. I've looked at all the stuff already. Spent an hour or two writing down what I would like.
