I like Real Time Strategies and First Person Shooters. I was wondering what you all could suggest as a fun multiplayer game? I am really interested in co-op type games. I have L4D and TF2. (Both which I hate)

Games I like: StarCraft, Diablo, Diablo II, WarCraft III(At least the Use Map Settings maps).

Company of Heroes is cool. What types of FPS's do you currently own other than L4D and TF2?

FPS? I suppose Call of Duty 4, Counter Strike Source, and perhaps Unreal Tournament 2004 (for Onslaught) might be your best bets.

For a neat RTS you might consider Sins of a Solar Empire, but sadly, 99% of the people who bought it never contemplated playing it in online multiplayer, which is too bad because it's a great online multiplayer 4X-RTS game. (Warning--you have to buy the Entrenchment expansion for $10 and the online player counts aren't real high, but you can easily find games during the North American evenings. However, the online game might die completely once Starcraft 2 comes out.)

World in Conflict would probably offer an intense multiplayer experience.

I've played it via LAN with some friends and it was pretty good but never online.

Played it, Played it, Played it...

I might play Sins. I'll test it probably... I like games more like Starcraft and Command and conquer. The real mining something to get resources to build guys etc. I like that kind of build up, but not the build up in Supreme Commander where it takes... years.

None anymore. (I have the orange box and L4D) I have played CS:S, CS, and GRAW(1,2), and many others.

I hated Dawn of War 1.

I might try company of heroes, but last time I played the small amount I did it was not interesting. It isn't like your typical RTS where you mine gold/something right?

I hated demigod. It was a poor-dota clone. I prefer DOTA. :D

Savage 2 - A Tortured Soul

RTS/FPS/RPG in one. Awesome game with a fairly steep learning curve (compared to most multiplayer games anyway). Free to play or $10 if you want more inventory slots, unlimited Hellbourne units, and to support independent developers.

EVE-Online? Before you laugh too hard at this, consider: Once you get skilled up enough to field a decent ship and fitting, the co-op play can be a lot of fun like when you're in a roaming pvp gang attacking other similar gangs.

Yea you don't mine anything, you control points and get resources that way. It's a good change of pace from having to mine all the time. It's really good but if you don't like it then oh well.

L4D is too short and full of noobs. TF2 is just too repetitive and doesn't give any real satisfaction from capturing the flag or anything. It feels like a modified UT2004.

They get more 100000x fun when you play with friends too, so do that.

Fire up the 'ol BF2 - it's still a blast with friends. BTW, how do you and your friends have all these games to "test"?

play with AT people on the AT fight night server.

anyway, definite +1's for Dawn of War 2 and Company of Heroes. Some people liked Sins of a Solar Empire, though it isn't my cup of tea. Also, homeworld 1 and 2 (older games)

BF2 is iffy. I never liked it enough to play it a lot.

I'll look into/try Dawn of War 2 and Company of Heroes. Maybe Sins...

Right now I am addicted to DOTA again. Fun stuff.
