Looking for a free video editor

I currently use TMPGEnc for video editing, to do things like cropping, editing and trimming. But it's not multicore and I just upgraded to a quad. So I was wondering if there's a multicore video editor that's also free for use. TIA.
 
Really free software is rare and fits in one hand. Windows Movie Maker or Wax Debug Mode are possible options for you to work with.
