HERE has a list of all the BIOS's available that you can download, for use with the MSI K8N neo 2 plat. They range from the Official to mod'ed to beta BIOS's.
Also if you look at the top there are two links to BIOS flash utilities which actually flash the BIOS within windows instead of using a bootable floppy. I use WinFlash 1.76 as linked on that page.
HERE is a guide on how to use Winflash. Although all i do is open Winflash, select the downloaded BIOS i want to update and then click update. When it restarts, i load optimized defaults, save then exit, then reapply my specific BIOS settings etc.
For your particular chip i would probably recommend BIOS 1.B, its a stable BIOS and supports your chip just fine, however there is no point in updating the BIOS it if already works just fine.
I use the 1.8 mod BIOS with this chip because I find it works a bit better than the 1.B I used to use on my Opty 165 (even though I still cant OC my ram for jack). I?ll be getting a new board soon any way which work far better with the rest if my hardware than this current board.
