I am looking for a motherboard that will support dual Athlon MP's up to the newest speeds...

As well as have USB 2.0, and standard AGP 8x (not AGP Pro) and regular-size PCI slots, and would prefer DDR333 or DDR400 (not DDR266)...

Anyone know of anything out there? All I can find is dual mobo's with old technology, nothing new. Gotta have USB 2.0 at the very least geez....

nothing out there.
the platform is dying, you'd have to go Opteron to get this stuff.
but you can mod the mobos to work with higher FSB CPU's, and you can always use an add-on card for USB 2.0.
I just got an MSI K7D Master for a great price, and it rocks.. easy to setup, and runs like a champ! very happy with it :) this mobo has 2 66Mhz 64bit PCI slots, and 3 33MHz 32bit PCI slots, so it's "decent" for expandability really. it also accepts unbuffered, unregistered DDR in the first 2 slots (this is how mine is setup, and it runs great)

Well then I might have to settle with old technology...

I looked at that MSI board, but the AGP pro slot uggg...will a regular AGP card work in there?

yes sir, my 9800 Pro is very happy in this mobo so far :)
it runs good man, don't hesitate to buy one. I did a lot of research before I bought this board, and I am quite happy with what I've got now. the system is very stable, and very fast. even with my lowly MP1800's. I am probably going to find a set of MP2400's and up pretty soon to better satisfy my gaming needs :D

should i ask u or post another thread...but would you rather do a dual athlon mp 2800 setup rather than a amd64 setup?

I'd rather do an MP2800 setup any day of the week!
the MP2800's run 2.13GHz with 640k cache, they are badass CPU's... the A64 has the advantage when it's alone against 1 MP.... but with 2 MP's, that's a serious smackdown :)

seriously though, once you go dual, you will never go back. one A64 is not as good as 2 MP's IMHO!! I love my rig.
