Apologies first, this probably should have been posted in OS's or Networking, but I was just trying to cover as many people as I could at once.

I'm looking for a disk utility similar to win9x's disk defragmentor.
I've read the owner's manual, and it makes no mention of, or reference to any utility of this type.
Does this kind of utility even exist in NT, or am I just overlooking something simple?

Thanks for the pointers ahead of time.
JoLLy..

oops..didn't mean to post twice!! Sorry bout that.

Diskkeeper.

Microsoft originally thought that NTFS did not need a defrag utility. There is one in Windows 2000 though! :|

You can buy the full version, or use disk keeper lite which is free and great for just defraging.

Well Jolly.....if you did something to that gov't PC down there in Aruba, perhaps you should report it to your local WGM. If not, then let NT run an autocheck on the drive, that's the closest thing to Win9x defragment, as far as I know, which is veryyyyy short mind you....

You should give Norton Speedisk NT 5.1 a try.

Works really good, faster than the solution for Win2000.
I use it on my NT-Server and on the Win2000-box.
