Looking for a CRT monitor...

So, I currently have a Medion 19" CRT monitor. It can do 1600x1200 max resolution, but 1024x768 is the only setting that can be comfortably used, even with the highest DPI. The text just gets blurry and too small to even make out...

What I want to know, is what I need to look for in a CRT monitor so that I can comfortably run a 1600x1200 desktop resolution. The viewable size of the monitor? The fact that it says 1600x1200 is the optimal resolution? Dot pitch?

Any recommendations on monitors would be appreciated. And if newegg carries it, that makes it even better :)

Thanks!

Do you own this monitor? You have no problem running 1600x1200 even though it's not the optimal res.?

Dell p1110 21" works well for me. It was a refurb though, don't know where you'd find one.

1600x1200, 32bit, 85Hz with crisp clear text.

Saturday tommorrow is the last day of the sale but Staples has the Enervision 19" monitor flat screen for $129 after $60 rebate which is a great deal. I can say it is a great deal because I own two and they are very nice especially at that price range. I think I might pick another one up tommorrow.

If you're having troubles with blurry text at 1600x1200, then chances are it's your videocard and not your monitor. The small text is simply due to the resolution; go into your display settings and increase the font sizes and it should fix it. What's your refresh rate at 1600x1200 with your current monitor? What brand is your 9800XT?

You ran 1600x1200 at 60Hz on a CRT? Ouch! My eyes hurt even thinking about it.

if u want a nice stable image, 1600x1200 @85hz I recommend the Cornerston p1460, it's a FANTASTIC monitor! No more eyestrain and the image is so stable it's amazing. i did a lot of research before buying this and I'm glad I did. good stuff and highly recommended. The only bad thing is it's kinda heavy and big, but it more than makes up for this fact in IMAGE QUALITY.
